HOUSE MESSAGES RECEIVED AND CONSIDERED The following messages were received from the Chief Clerk of the House: MADAM PRESIDENT: I am directed to inform your honorable body that the House has on April 16, 2001, passed the following bills in which the concurrence of the House was asked: Senate File 497, a bill for an act relating to the governance of the Iowa public employees' retirement system and providing an effective date. Senate File 500, a bill for an act relating to insurance, by addressing the operation and regulation of insurance companies, mutual insurance associations, the Iowa insurance guaranty association, and other insurance or risk-assuming entities, including the rights and duties of such entities and the powers and authority of the insurance commissioner; by establishing jurisdiction and venue requirements for actions against the Iowa insurance guaranty association; and providing penalties, repeals, and effective dates.
