  1  1    Amend House File 656, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 7, by striking lines 12 through 22 and
  1  4 inserting the following:  "constructed after July 1,
  1  5 1999.  In lieu of requiring construction of a storm
  1  6 shelter, a county may require a park owner to provide
  1  7 a plan for the evacuation of park residents to a safe
  1  8 place of shelter in times of severe weather including
  1  9 tornadoes and high winds if the county determines that
  1 10 a safe place of shelter is available within a
  1 11 reasonable distance of the mobile home park for use by
  1 12 park residents.  Each evacuation plan prepared
  1 13 pursuant to this subsection shall be filed with, and
  1 14 approved by, the local emergency management agency.
