  1  1    Amend House File 694, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 2, by inserting after line 21 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "7.  By January 1 of each year, the commission
  1  6 shall submit an annual written report to the general
  1  7 assembly and the governor regarding, at a minimum, the
  1  8 activities of the commission and any recommendations
  1  9 regarding legislation.
  1 10    Sec.    .  NEW SECTION.  16.183  REPEAL.
  1 11    Section 16.182 is repealed on June 30, 2004."
  1 12    #2.  Page 2, line 22, by striking the word "The"
  1 13 and inserting the following:  "By January 1, 2002,
  1 14 the".
  1 15    #3.  Page 2, by striking line 26 and inserting the
  1 16 following:  "submit an interim progress report to the
  1 17 general assembly and the".
  1 18    #4.  Page 2, line 27, by striking the word "for"
  1 19 and inserting the following:  "which shall include
  1 20 preliminary findings regarding".
  1 21    #5.  Page 2, line 28, by inserting after the word
  1 22 "agency." the following:  "By January 1, 2003, the
  1 23 housing trust commission, in cooperation with the Iowa
  1 24 finance authority, the department of economic
  1 25 development, the attorney general, and the department
  1 26 of public health, shall submit a final report to the
  1 27 general assembly and the governor which shall include
  1 28 the final findings and recommendations for the
  1 29 implementation of the consolidation of all housing
  1 30 programs under one agency."
  1 31    #6.  By renumbering as necessary.
