  1  1    Amend House File 643, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 8, by inserting after line 14, the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  Section 483A.27, Code 2001, is amended
  1  6 by adding the following new subsection:
  1  7    NEW SUBSECTION.  11.  A hunter safety and ethics
  1  8 instructor certified by the department shall be
  1  9 allowed to conduct an approved hunter safety and
  1 10 ethics education course on public school property with
  1 11 the approval of a majority of the board of directors
  1 12 of the school district.  The conduct of an approved
  1 13 hunter safety and ethics education course is not a
  1 14 violation of any public policy, rule, regulation,
  1 15 resolution, or ordinance which prohibits the
  1 16 possession, display, or use of a firearm, bow and
  1 17 arrow, or other hunting weapon on public school
  1 18 property or other public property in this state."
