1 1 Amend Senate File 514 as follows:
1 2 #1. Page 13, line 6, by inserting after the figure
1 3 "3." the following: "Property taxes certified as a
1 4 result of property tax revenues being decreased by the
1 5 allowing of a pollution-control and recycling property
1 6 tax exemption for property used for the care and
1 7 funding of livestock shall not be counted against the
1 8 maximum amount of property tax dollars that may be
1 9 certified for the fiscal year under subsection 3. For
1 10 purposes of this subsection and section 427.1,
1 11 subsection 19, "pollution-control property" and
1 12 "recycling property" do not include property used for
1 13 purposes related to the care and feeding of livestock
1 14 as defined in section 169C.1, except for property
1 15 which is eligible for a family farm tax credit as
1 16 provided in chapter 425A. The exemption calculated
1 17 for pollution control or recycling property used for
1 18 purposes related to the care and feeding of livestock
1 19 as defined in section 169C.1, and which is eligible
1 20 for a family farm tax credit as provided in chapter
1 21 425A, is limited to the first one hundred thousand
1 22 dollars in assessed value."
