Senate File 2406 On motion of Senator Kramer, Senate File 2406, a bill for an act establishing a school ready children grant program to be administered by community empowerment area boards and the Iowa empowerment board, making an appropriation, and providing an effective date, was taken up for consideration. President Kramer took the chair at 4:58 p.m. Senator Boettger offered amendment S-5143 filed by Senators Boettger, et al., from the floor to pages 2 and 7 of the bill and moved its adoption. Amendment S-5143 was adopted by a voice vote. Senator Boettger moved that the bill be read the last time now and placed upon its passage, which motion prevailed by a voice vote, and the bill was read the last time.
