1 2 #1. Page 3, line 18, by striking the figure
1 3 "1,028,161" and inserting the following: "997,161".
1 4 #2. Page 3, line 31, by inserting after the word
1 5 "foods." the following: "However, if Senate File 2332
1 6 or other legislation providing for the production,
1 7 handling, processing, and sale of organic agricultural
1 8 products as provided in Senate File 2332, is not
1 9 enacted by the Seventy-seventh General Assembly, 1998
1 10 Session, the full-time equivalent positions authorized
1 11 and the amount appropriated under this subparagraph
1 12 shall be reduced by 1.00 FTE and $68,011."
1 13 #3. Page 4, line 21, by striking the figure

1 21 #6. Page 15, by inserting after line 29 the
1 22 following:
1 23 "Sec. 100. Of the amount appropriated to Iowa
1 24 state university for supporting odor control
1 25 applications for animal feeding operations, as
1 26 provided in 1997 Iowa Acts, chapter 213, section 12,
1 27 subsection 1, any amount which is unencumbered or
1 28 unobligated on June 30, 1998, shall be transferred to
1 29 the livestock disease research fund established
1 30 pursuant to section 267.8 for use by the Iowa state
1 31 university college of veterinary medicine upon
1 32 recommendation of the livestock health advisory
1 33 council in a manner consistent with the provisions of
1 34 chapter 267."
1 35 #7. Page 17, by striking line 27 and inserting the
1 36 following:
1 37 "Sec. ___. EFFECTIVE DATES.
1 38 1. 1997 Iowa Acts, chapter 213, section 21,".
1 39 #8. Page 17, by inserting after line 29 the
1 40 following:
1 41 "2. Section 100 of this Act takes effect upon
1 42 enactment."
1 43 #9. Title page, line 2, by inserting after the
1 44 word "resources" the following: "and providing an
1 45 effective date".
1 46 #10. By renumbering as necessary.
