Pioneer Lawmakers Archive

The Pioneer Lawmakers' Association of Iowa was organized in 1886 with membership open to all former state officers who served twenty years prior to each biennial reunion, as specified in the group's articles of incorporation adopted on 02/28/1892. These articles specify that the reunions were to be held at the Capitol of the State beginning on the second Wednesday of February in the years which the General Assembly holds its regular sessions, unless otherwise called by the executive committees of the Association.
