The IAC (updated biweekly) is the composite of all rules adopted and administered by executive branch agencies to implement state law and policy (Official Version - PDF format).

Concurrently with the publication of the February 5, 2025, Iowa Administrative Bulletin and Iowa Administrative Code Supplement, the Legislative Services Agency is republishing the Iowa Administrative Code in full. All rules will be republished. This republication is necessary to complete a transition to new document processing software for publication of rules and rulemaking documents that began in July of 2024. Additionally, the republication will include in the heading of each chapter of rules the future rescission date of the chapter pursuant to Iowa Code section 17A.7(3) as enacted by 2024 Iowa Acts, Senate File 2370. Chapters exempt from the rescission process will be noted accordingly. The republication will not result in substantive changes to rule content, but nonsubstantive changes to the style and format of the Iowa Administrative Code can be expected as a result of the republication. While the new software has been tested extensively, errors resulting from the republication may still occur.
