Shoultz of Black Hawk asked and received unanimous consent to
withdraw amendment H-1679 filed by him on April 19, 1999.
Witt of Black Hawk offered the following amendment H-1597 filed
by him and moved its adoption:

1 Amend Senate File 324, as amended, passed, and
2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
3 1. Page 13, by inserting after line 32 the
4 following:
5 "11A. POLITICAL COERCION. It shall be unlawful
6 for a franchisor, directly or indirectly, to coerce
7 political participation from franchisees, their
8 employees, or their families."
9 2. By renumbering as necessary.
A non-record roll call was requested.
The ayes were 39, nays 50.
