1 3 #1. Page 13, by inserting before line 1 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "8A. NOTICE OF RIGHTS. In the event of
1 6 termination or nonrenewal of a franchise, or
1 7 settlement of any claim between a franchisor and
1 8 franchisee, a franchisor shall include the following
1 9 statement in the written notice of termination,
1 10 nonrenewal, or settlement in at least ten point type:
1 11 "Notice. This transaction is subject to the terms and
1 12 conditions of the Iowa Fair Franchising Act, Iowa Code
1 13 Section 537A.10. The Act establishes statutory rights
1 14 of franchisees. You are encouraged to consult
1 15 competent legal counsel to determine your legal rights
1 16 under the Act.""
1 17 #2. Page 14, by inserting after line 18 the
1 18 following:
1 19 " . TITLE. This section may be known as the
1 20 "Iowa Fair Franchising Act"."
