Annually updated tables which detail the composition of the Territory of Iowa Legislative Assembly (1838-1846) and the Iowa General Assembly (1846-Current).
The primary sources of information for these tables are archived Iowa Acts, Iowa Official Registers, Senate Journals, House Journals, and Bluebooks. Secondary sources include legislative manuals, directories, newspapers, books, family-supplied data, and obituaries. While the Legislative Services Agency (LSA) attempts to cross-check sources in order to be historically accurate, errors are possible. The LSA welcomes additional information from our readers.
