Socioeconomic Effects of Gambling on Iowans Study Committee (J)
Charge
Create a monitoring committee to implement a request for proposals, on behalf of the Legislative Council, for the study of the socioeconomic impact of gambling on Iowans by an independent entity in accordance with 2004 Iowa Acts, House File 2302, section 61. The request for proposals shall be developed by and is subject to approval of the Studies Committee of the Legislative Council. The cost of the study shall not exceed $100,000 and the study costs shall be paid as a joint expense under section 2.12. The Studies Committee is performing the monitoring committee functions.
