RSS Feed

For most RSS readers the following instructions should work for adding a new feed or "channel":

  • Click on the orange XML button representing the news feed you want to subscribe to.
  • A new webpage will appear displaying XML code.
  • Highlight and copy the URL that is in the address bar on your browser window.
  • Paste that URL into the "Add New Channel" section of your RSS reader.
  • Your RSS reader will notify you when new items have been added to our news feed.

    RSS stands for "Real Simple Syndication" and uses XML (eXtensible Markup Language) technology to syndicate and aggregate Internet content. Subscribing to Iowa Legislative RSS Feeds will give you the most current and up-to-date legislative information as it becomes available.

    RSS readers are easy to use and can be downloaded from a variety of websites. Use your favorite Internet search engine to locate an RSS reader compatible with your operating system and follow the installation instructions.
