Member of Alpha Zeta and Gamma Sigma Delta honorary scholastic fraternities. Cited by both Cornell College and Iowa State University for distinguished service. Married Murl Greer, graduate of Iowa State University, class of 1910, Dec. 25, 1913. Two sons, Robert and Richard, and six grandchildren. Sons associated in farming. Selected Master Farmer 1928. Bank president since 1931. Active in Methodist Church. Member for eight years of first Iowa Soil Conservation Committee. Father of two sons, Robert and Richard, both of whom are farming in partnership with father on 560 acres. Farmer since 1913, and president of Clarence Savings bank since 1931. President of Clarence school board six years and of county Farm Bureau three years. Member State Soil Conservation committee eight years. Served officially with many cooperative organizations local, state and national in character. Selected as Master Farmer 1928. Active in Methodist church and now serving as trustee of three conference institutions. Served as conference lay leader of the North Iowa conference for six years. Member 55th, 56th and 57th General Assemblies.
