The House met pursuant to adjournment at 1:15 p.m., Speaker pro
tempore Van Maanen of Marion in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Reverend Ken Meissner, pastor of Rowley
Presbyterian Church, Rowley.
The Journal of Friday, January 24, 1997 was approved.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by the Honorable Joseph Kremer,
state representative from Buchanan County.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE
Leave of absence was granted as follows:

The Speaker announced that House File 68, previously referred to
