Member of AMVETS, Izaak Walton League, Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited, and National Wild Turkey Federation. Iowa National Guard member 1956-62. Wife Sharon; two sons, one daughter, and five grandchildren. Serving second term in Senate.
