Birth: April 19, 1943, Aberdeen, Washington. Parents: David Elmer and Clara Elvik Osterberg. Education: Educated in Washington state at Montesano High School and Washington State University; received further education at the University of Stockholm in Sweden; earned master's degrees in agricultural economics, water resources management, and economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Activities: Taught economics at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Cornell College, and the University of Iowa. Served in the Peace Corps in Iran. Presently, principal in the firm of Osterberg and Sheehan, Public Utility Economists. Former board member of the north central region of the American Friends Service Committee. Term: Fifth.
