Elma District 14 Republican Born in Jerico, Jan. 21, 1939, son of Alvie and Gertrude Johnson. Graduated Elma High School 1958, attended North Iowa Area Comm. College in Mason City. Graduated University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, in 1972. In grocery business since 1973. Married Evelyn Boofer in 1961, 2 sons, Steven and Mikel. Served in the USAF four years, 1961-65. Chairman of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Elma. Member of American Legion, Howard Co. Farm Bureau, Sportsmans Club in Elma. First term.
