Lamont Republican 31st Senatorial District Buchanan and Delaware Counties. Born April 10, 1904, in Fayette, Iowa, son of Lucius and Harriett (Carlton) Parker. Graduated from Maynard High School 1922. Married Alice Kemp (second marriage) Dec. 26, 1964. Father of two sons: Robert Allen, 35, and Kenneth Laverne, who died 1957. Farmer. Member of Methodist Church and Farm Bureau. Present board member of Union Bank and Trust Company, Strawberry Point. Served 3 years State Extension Planning Council, 15 years on Lamont School Board, 7 years on Buchanan County R.E.C. Board. Served in house of representatives 1961-1963, and in the 1964 special session. Serving first term in senate.
