Member of United Church of Christ, Masons, Consistory, Shrine, American National Cattlemen's Assn., American Angus Assn., Iowa Beef Producers, and Farm Bureau. Served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Clayton County Republican Finance Chairman. Serving first term in senate.
