Elkader Republican 38th Senatorial District Clayton and Allamakee Counties. Born August 11, 1926, in Littleport, Iowa, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. J. Klink. Graduated from Elkader High School 1944. Attended Iowa State University about three years. Engaged in farming. Member of United Church of Christ, Masons, Consistory, Shrine, American National Cattlemen's Assn., American Angus Assn., Iowa Beef Producers, and Farm Bureau. Served in the U.S. Army in Korea. Clayton County Republican Finance Chairman. Serving first term in senate.
