ERNEST O. ELLSWORTH, legislator and business man; died at Iowa Falls, Iowa, December 26, 1945; born November 29, 1873, in the community of his residence, where he resided his entire life; son of Eugene and Harriet Northrup Ellsworth; owner and manager of the local theater from its opening in December, 1899, until April, 1944; identified with the construction of the railroad from Iowa Falls to. Des Moines; assisted in preliminary training of all men called into military service from Hardin county in World War I; a member of the Iowa house of representatives from 1929 to 1936; conducted a farm loan and real estate business established by his father, and was unmarried; a Republican and a member of Masonic bodies.
