Born in Kiel, Germany on March 10, 1852. He immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1870. In Bettendorf he married Miss Lena Kuehl on January 15, 1874. They moved to a farm one and a half miles southwest of Wheatland where they lived 23 years. Mr. Mordhorst represented county in the Twenty-ninth General Assembly. He was a Democrat in politics. He moved to Pierce, Nebraska in 1916. He passed away on 1943.
