Mr. Eiker, from the committee to draft resolutions relative to the death of the late Hon. W. M. Wemple of Decatur county, submitted the following resolutions:

MR. SPEAKER—Your committee to draft resolutions of respect in honor of Hon. W. M. Wemple, deceased, of Decatur county, beg leave to submit the following report:

WHEREAS, The great creator in His infinite wisdom has seen fit to remove from this life the Hon. W. M. Wemple who represented Decatur county in the Twenty-seventh General Assembly of Iowa.

WHEREAS, That in the death of Hon. W. M. Wemple, his family is bereft of a kind and loving husband and father, and the county of Decatur one of its upright and most highly respected citizens, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the members of the Twenty-eighth General Assembly extend to the bereaved family and friends their heartfelt sympathy in this their hour of sorrow, and, be it further

Resolved, That this resolution be printed in the Journal of the House and the Chief Clerk be directed to transmit an engrossed copy of the same to the bereaved family.
