I. B. SANTEE was born March 7, 1852, in Monongalia county, Va. (now W. Va.); he died June 20, 1908, in Danbury, Woodbury county, Iowa. He received a common school and business college training. He removed to Iowa in 1872 and was for seventeen years engaged in mercantile pursuits. In 1889 he became cashier of the Danbury State Bank. He was a member of the House of the Twenty-seventh and Twenty-eighth General Assemblies.
