The farming element of Polk county will be represented in the lower house this session by the Hon. Charles W. Stewart, of Clive. Mr. Stewart has no particular political aspirations, but accepted the nomination to the office he will occupy this winter at the suggestion and support of his republican friends. He was born in Indiana in 1851. He came to Iowa in 1868 and made this state his home until 1881. That year he removed from Iowa, but returned in 1890. He is an energetic man in a business capacity, and will make Polk county an excellent official servant.
