Elected member of the House of Representatives in 1899 and re-elected in 1901, serving during the Twenty-eighth and Twenty-ninth General Assemblies. Elected State Senator in 1903 and served during the Thirtieth, Thirty-first and Thirty-second General Assemblies. A Republican in politics.
