Retired. Member Methodist church, Masonic lodge, historical society, Farm Bureau, Northeast Iowa Tourism Council, County Civil Defense. Town councilman 22 years, mayor 15 years, advisory council to local school board, church treasurer, finance committee chairman, member official church board, trustee chairman, lay leader, and certified lay speaker.
