Taught school for several terms. Now owns and operates a large stock farm. For many years president of the Peoples Savings Bank of Garrison. Was married in 1894. Elected representative from Benton county in 1910. Re-elected in 1912. Elected senator in 1914, re-elected in 1918, in 1922, and 1930. Appointed a member of the board of control while serving as senator in the forty-fifth general assembly. A democrat.
