Member of Western Iowa Experimental Farm Association. Recipient of the W. G. Skelly Agricultural Achievement Award. Commission Chairman, former lay leader, and member of official board of Methodist Church. Former vice president of Lion's Club. Member Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Scottish Rite and Shrine.
