Charter member of the Audubon County Farm Bureau; past director Audubon County Soil Conservation and Improvement association; past member Audubon County Planning Committee; member Audubon County Board of Supervisors seven years; president school board 12 years and member of Audubon County Board of Education at present time; secretary of Farmers Mutual Telephone Co., for 23 years and president for six years. Retired from active farming January, 1942. Member of Methodist church. Elected to Senate in 1940 and re-elected in 1944.
