Rose Hill Republican 14th Senatorial District Mahaska County. Born in Mahaska County, Iowa, October 3, 1897, son of Albert W. and Ellen Evisa Stewart. Married Alice Marie Clayworth of Oskaloosa, June 5, 1918. Father of three children, Albert W. Stewart, Anita Seitsinger and Virginia Moore. Owner and operator of a farm consisting of 785 acres in which his son, Albert, and son-in-law, Omer Seitsinger, operate in partnership. Member of the Methodist church, the Farm Bureau, Kiwanis club and Chamber of Commerce. Served three terms as Mahaska county supervisor. Specializes in the production of pure bred Shorthorn cattle. Has four grandchildren, Steven Emory Seitsinger, Sandra Lee Stewart, Charles Emory Stewart II and Anita Marie Moore. Has served in the 55th and 56th General Assemblies.

He is a Methodist and a member of the Farm Bureau, Kiwanis Club and the Chamber of Commerce. He served three terms as Mahaska county supervisor. Specializes in the production of Shorthorn cattle. The Stewarts have two daughters, and a son.
