2 1. Page 9, line 15, by striking the figure
3 "500,000" and inserting the following: "1,000,000".
4 2. Page 27, by inserting after line 34 the
5 following:
6 "Sec. . NEW SECTION. 256E.6 STATEWIDE PROGRAM
7 IMPLEMENTATION.
8 Notwithstanding the funding provisions of section
9 256E.2, effective July 1, 2005, all school districts
10 shall implement an approved beginning teacher
11 induction program following the prescribed procedure
12 set forth in this chapter, and shall provide every
13 beginning teacher employed by a school district with a
14 mentor."
