Mascher of Johnson offered the following amendment H-8587,
previously deferred, filed by her from the floor and moved its
adoption:

1 Amend House File 2549 as follows:
2 1. Page 3, by inserting after line 19 the
3 following:
4 "The director of the department of education shall
5 ensure that all school districts are aware of the
6 state education resources available on the state
7 website for listing teacher job openings and shall
8 make every reasonable effort to enable qualified
9 practitioners to post their resumes on the state
10 website. The department shall administer the posting
11 of job vacancies for school districts, accredited
12 nonpublic schools, and area education agencies on the
13 state website. The department may coordinate this
14 activity with the Iowa school board association or
15 other interested education associations in the state."
Amendment H-8587 was adopted.
Falck of Fayette offered the following amendment H-8620,
previously deferred, filed by him from the floor and moved its
adoption:

1 Amend House File 2549 as follows:
2 1. Page 7, line 33, by striking the figure
3 "7,698,155" and inserting the following: "8,266,389".
