5g.7. In the event that a motion to reconsider is 6 pending at the end of the first session or any 7 extraordinary session of any general assembly, or the 8 general assembly adjourns sine die, and the motion to 9 reconsider has not been voted upon by the house, the 10 motion shall be determined to have failed. 11 DIVISION VIII - VOTING 12 Rule 74 13 Manner of Voting 14 Members present may cast their votes, either by 15 operating the voting mechanism located at their 16 assigned desk or by signaling the speaker from the 17 floor of the house or from the south visitors' gallery 18 if they are unable to vote at their assigned desk. 19 The speaker shall enter the votes of members signaling 20 their votes. Upon direction of the speaker or upon 21 request of two members during the taking of the vote 22 of the house on any question, only those members at 23 their desks and voting shall be counted. Members who 24 are not present shall not cast their votes except: 25a.1. Members who have not voted may record their 26 votes on any record roll call vote except quorum calls 27 within ten minutes after the vote has been announced, 28 providing the vote does not change the outcome of the 29 vote on that question. a member may request 30 announcement of the names of members so recorded after Page 37 1 the ten-minute period. 2b.2. Members meeting in a conference committee or 3 in administrative rules review committee at the time a 4 vote is taken on a question may have their vote 5 recorded within thirty minutes or adjournment, 6 whichever is first of that same legislative day, 7 providing the vote does not change the outcome of the 8 vote on that question. 9 Rule 75 10 Duty of Voting 11 Except as limited in Rule 74, every member who is 12 in the house when a question is put shall vote unless 13 the house has excused that member for special reasons; 14 however, such member must have asked to be excused 15 prior to commencing to take the vote on the main 16 question. 17 Rule 76 18 Limitation on Right to Vote 19 No member shall vote on any question in which that 20 person is financially interested. 21 Rule 77 22 Call of the House 23 Upon written request of five members, the presiding 24 officer shall compel attendance of absent and 25 unexcused members for the consideration of specified
