         The Senate resumed session at 11:47 a.m., President Boswell
    presiding.



                                BUSINESS PENDING

    House File 2477

         The Senate resumed consideration of House File 2477.

         Senator Judge offered amendment S-5451 filed by Senators Judge, et
    al., on March 20, 1996, to page 1 of amendment S-5427 and moved its
    adoption.

         Amendment S-5451 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Priebe asked and received unanimous consent that action on
    amendment S-5457 filed by  Senators Priebe and Banks on March 20, 1996,
    to page 1 of amendment S-5427 be deferred.

         Senator Kibbie offered amendment S-5436 filed by him on March 20,
    1996, to pages 1, 3, 5 and 8 of amendment S-5427 and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5436 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Vilsack offered amendment S-5471 filed by him from the
    floor to pages 2, 3 and 6 of amendment S-5427 and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5471 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Senator Kibbie offered amendment S-5469 filed by him from the floor
    to pages 4 and 5 of amendment S-5427 and moved its adoption.

         Amendment S-5469 was adopted by a voice vote.

         Action on amendment S-5427 was temporarily deferred.

         Senator Bartz asked and received unanimous consent to withdraw
    amendment S-5394 filed by Senators Bartz, Rensink and Kibbie on March
    19, 1996, to page 6 of the bill.

         Senator Horn asked and received unanimous consent that action  on
    House File 2477 be deferred.
