1 4 #1. Page 2, line 33, by striking the figure "11"
1 5 and inserting the following: "5".
1 6 #2. Page 3, line 14, by striking the figure
1 7 "126,371,270" and inserting the following:
1 8 "126,506,270".
1 9 #3. Page 3, line 26, by striking the figure
1 10 "18,405,456" and inserting the following:
1 11 "18,540,456".
1 12 #4. Page 3, by inserting after line 31 the
1 13 following:
1 14 "Of the moneys allocated to merged area XI in
1 15 paragraph "j", for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
1 16 1996, and ending June 30, 1997, $135,000 shall be
1 17 expended on the career opportunity program to provide
1 18 assistance to minority persons who major in fields or
1 19 subject areas where minorities are currently
1 20 underutilized pursuant to section 260C.29."
1 21 #5. Page 6, by inserting after line 16 the
1 22 following:
1 23 "# . Page 29, by inserting after line 10 the
1 24 following:
1 25 "Sec. . Section 260C.29, subsection 3, Code
1 26 Supplement 1995, is amended by adding the following
1 27 new paragraphs:
1 28 NEW PARAGRAPH. f. Contract with other community
1 29 colleges to expand the availability of program
1 30 services and increase the number of students served by
1 31 the program.
1 32 NEW PARAGRAPH. g. Establish a separate account,
1 33 which shall consist of all appropriations, grants,
1 34 contributions, bequests, endowments, or other moneys
1 35 or gifts received specifically for purposes of the
1 36 program by the community college administering the
1 37 program as provided in subsection 2. Not less than
1 38 eighty percent of the funds received from state
1 39 appropriations for purposes of the program shall be
1 40 used for purposes of assistance to students as
1 41 provided in subsection 5.""
1 42 #6. By renumbering as necessary.
