3BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1   Section 1.  Section 252D.17, subsection 1, paragraph i, Code
22018, is amended to read as follows:
   3i.  (1)  The payor shall promptly notify the court or the
4child support recovery unit when the obligor’s employment or
5other income terminates, and provide the obligor’s last known
6address and the name and address of the obligor’s new employer,
7if known.
   8(2)  The obligor shall notify the court or the child support
9recovery unit, within five business days following termination
10of the obligor’s employment or other income, and provide the
11obligor’s last known address and the name and address of the
12obligor’s new employer, if known.
13EXPLANATION
14The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
15the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
   16This bill requires that, with reference to income
17withholding of support payments for the payment of a child
18support obligation which is applicable to all child support
19orders, a child support obligor shall notify the court or the
20child support recovery unit within five business days following
21termination of the obligor’s employment or other income, and
22provide the obligor’s last known address and the name and
23address of the obligor’s new employer, if known.
