Senate Study Bill 3002 - IntroducedA Bill ForAn Act 1relating to school bus route ride time limitations.
2BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. Section 285.11, Code 2018, is amended by adding
2the following new subsection:
3 NEW SUBSECTION. 9. The riding time between a pupil’s
4designated stop on the regular school bus route and the pupil’s
5school of attendance shall be as determined by the board of
6directors of the school district.
7EXPLANATION
8The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
9the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
10This bill authorizes the board of directors of a school
11district to determine the riding time for pupils on a regular
12school bus route.
