3BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. Section 123.178B, Code 2017, is amended by adding
2the following new subsection:
3 NEW SUBSECTION. 5. A person holding a class “C” native wine
4permit and a class “A” wine permit whose primary purpose is
5manufacturing native wine may purchase alcoholic liquor from a
6class “E” liquor control licensee for sale at retail.
7EXPLANATION
8The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
9the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
10This bill concerns the sale of alcoholic liquor by native
11wineries.
12Code section 123.178B is amended to allow a person holding a
13class “C” native wine permit and a class “A” native wine permit
14to purchase alcoholic liquor from a class “E” liquor control
15licensee for sale at retail.
