CHAPTER 1015TRANSFER OF TOWNSHIP PUBLIC HALL FUNDSH.F. 2180AN ACT relating to requirements for the transfer of township funds raised for purposes of acquiring or repairing a public hall.Be It Enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa:   Section 1.   Section 360.3, Code 2016, is amended to read as follows:   360.3  Transfer of fund.   When there are funds in under the hands control of a township clerk, raised under this chapter which are not desired for the purposes for which they were raised, the funds trustees may, by majority vote, order that the full amount of the funds in the account established for that purpose be transferred to the general fund of a school district or districts pro rata in which the funds were raised, when a petition is presented to the trustees, signed by a majority of the registered voters of the township, as shown by the election register or registers of the last preceding primary or general election held in the township. The transfer of funds shall be made by the township clerk upon order of the trustees after the filing of the petition with the clerk, and the clerk shall dissolve the account from which the transfer is made.Approved March 23, 2016
