5BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. The amendments to 491 Iowa administrative code,
2chapters 13 and 14, as appearing in ARC 7634C, as published in
3the Iowa administrative bulletin, volume XLVI, number 17, dated
4February 21, 2024, pp.7268-7272, are nullified.
5 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This joint resolution, being deemed
6of immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.
7EXPLANATION
8The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
9the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
10This joint resolution nullifies administrative rules of
11the state racing and gaming commission relating to sports
12wagering and fantasy sports contests. The administrative rules
13establish additional procedures and requirements for wagering
14and entry restrictions, account registration, advance deposit
15wagering, system testing, and service provider operating
16requirements.
17The joint resolution takes effect upon enactment.
