5BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1   Section 1.  Section 260C.18A, subsection 4, paragraph d,
2Code 2024, is amended to read as follows:
   3d.  Annually submit the two-year plan and progress report
 4for the previous fiscal year and the fund plan for the upcoming
5year
to the department in a manner prescribed by rules adopted
6by the department pursuant to chapter 17A.
7EXPLANATION
8The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
9the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
   10This bill relates to the reporting requirements of community
11colleges in connection with moneys deposited in the community
12colleges’ workforce training and economic development funds.
   13Current law requires each community college to adopt a
14two-year workforce training and economic development fund
15plan outlining the community college’s proposed use of moneys
16deposited in the community college’s workforce training
17and economic development fund, update the two-year plan
18annually, prepare an annual progress report on the two-year
19plan’s implementation, and annually submit the two-year plan
20and progress report to the department of education. The
21bill modifies the reporting requirement to provide that the
22community college is to annually submit to the department of
23education the progress report for the previous fiscal year and
24the fund plan for the upcoming year.
