4BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1   Section 1.  STATE CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROVIDER
2REIMBURSEMENT — DEFINITION OF INFANT AND TODDLER.
  The
3department of human services shall amend its administrative
4rules pursuant to chapter 17A to define “infant and toddler”
5as a child between the ages of two weeks and three years for
6purposes of reimbursement rates for infant and toddler child
7care providers reimbursed under the state child care assistance
8program.
9EXPLANATION
10The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
11the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
   12This bill directs the department of human services to amend
13its administrative rules to define “infant and toddler” as
14a child between the ages of two weeks and three years for
15purposes of reimbursement rates for infant and toddler child
16care providers reimbursed under the state child care assistance
17program.
