3BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. Section 23.3, Code 2019, is amended by adding the
2following new subsection:
3 NEW SUBSECTION. 9. The board shall, consistent with the
4provision of this chapter, comply with the requirements of
5chapters 21 and 22.
6EXPLANATION
7The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
8the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
9This bill requires the Iowa public information board,
10consistent with the provisions of Code chapter 23, to comply
11with the requirements of Code chapter 21 governing open
12meetings and Code chapter 22 governing open records.
