An Act 1congratulating Seth Rollins on his recent
2Royal Rumble victory and acknowledging his upcoming
3match for the World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc.
4(WWE) Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar at
5WrestleMania 35.
6WHEREAS, Seth Rollins is a native of Buffalo, Iowa,
7and currently resides in Davenport, Iowa;and
8WHEREAS, Mr.Rollins is a professional wrestler who
9has been signed to WWE since 2010 and has headlined
10numerous WWE events;and
11WHEREAS, on January 27, 2019, Mr.Rollins won his
12first Royal Rumble match, an annual professional battle
13royal wrestling event hosted by WWE;and
14WHEREAS, as a result of his Royal Rumble victory,
15Mr.Rollins has chosen to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE
16Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35;and
17WHEREAS, WrestleMania is a flagship event and is
18the most successful and longest-running professional
19wrestling event in WWE’s history;and
20WHEREAS, WrestleMania has facilitated the rise to
21stardom of several top WWE wrestlers;and
22WHEREAS, WrestleMania 35 will take place on April 7,
232019, at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New
24Jersey;and
25WHEREAS, it is anticipated that millions of viewers
26will tune in to WrestleMania 35;and
27WHEREAS, Mr.Rollins’ match with Brock Lesnar for
28the WWE Universal Championship will be the headlining
-1-1event for WrestleMania 35;NOW THEREFORE,
2BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE, That the Senate
3recognizes and congratulates Mr.Rollins on his January
427, 2019, Royal Rumble victory and for Mr.Rollins’
5anticipated WWE Universal Championship match with Brock
6Lesnar at WrestleMania 35.
