3BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:
1 Section 1. Section 8.57, subsection 5, paragraph f,
2subparagraph (1), Code 2019, is amended by adding the following
3new subparagraph division:
4 NEW SUBPARAGRAPH DIVISION. (0e) For the fiscal year
5beginning July 1, 2019, and for each fiscal year thereafter, of
6the wagering tax receipts received pursuant to sections 99D.17
7and 99F.11, the next three million dollars shall be deposited
8in the renewable fuel infrastructure fund created in section
9159A.16.
10 Sec. 2. Section 8.57, subsection 5, paragraph f,
11subparagraph (1), subparagraph division (f), Code 2019, is
12amended to read as follows:
13(f) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2018 2019, and
14for each fiscal year thereafter, the total moneys in excess
15of the moneys deposited under this paragraph “f” in the
16revenue bonds debt service fund, the revenue bonds federal
17subsidy holdback fund, the vision Iowa fund, the water quality
18infrastructure fund, the Iowa skilled worker and job creation
19fund, the renewable fuel infrastructure fund, and the general
20fund of the state shall be deposited in the rebuild Iowa
21infrastructure fund and shall be used as provided in this
22section, notwithstanding section 8.60.
23EXPLANATION
24The inclusion of this explanation does not constitute agreement with
25the explanation’s substance by the members of the general assembly.
26Each fiscal year beginning July 1, 2019, this bill
27appropriates $3 million to the renewable fuel infrastructure
28fund created in Code section 159A.16 from wagering tax receipts
29prior to the deposit of those wagering tax receipts in the
30rebuild Iowa infrastructure fund.
