       (1053)  DRUG PRESCRIBING AND DISPENSING INFORMATION PROGRAM — INTERSTATE INFORMATION EXCHANGES   (SF2080)  Draft  relating to exchanging information contained in the Iowa information program for drug prescribing and dispensing.Be It Enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa:   (1)Section 124.553, subsection 1, Code 2014, is amended by adding the following new paragraph:NEW PARAGRAPHd.A prescription database or monitoring program in another jurisdiction pursuant to subsection 8.   (2)Section 124.553, Code 2014, is amended by adding the following new subsection:NEW SUBSECTION8.The board may enter into an agreement with a prescription database or monitoring program operated in a state bordering this state or in the state of Kansas for the mutual exchange of information. Any agreement entered into pursuant to this subsection shall specify that all the information exchanged pursuant to the agreement shall be used and disseminated in accordance with the laws of this state.Approved April 3, 2014
