(1002) School finance — allowable growth (SF2045) Draft delaying the establishment of the state percent of growth for the budget year beginning July 1, 2011, for purposes of the state school foundation program, and including effective date provisions.Be It Enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Iowa: (1)ALLOWABLE GROWTH DELAY.Notwithstanding the provision of section 257.8, subsection 1, relating to the deadline for enactment of the statute establishing the state percent of growth, the state percent of growth for the budget year beginning July 1, 2011, shall be established by statute which shall be enacted within thirty days of the submission of the governor’s budget under section 8.21 for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011. (2)EFFECTIVE UPON ENACTMENT.This Act, being deemed of immediate importance, takes effect upon enactment.Approved January 20, 2010
